Meet Joe Smith!!
Joe and his wife, Judy, have just recently moved to Tucson after their four children (the last one in college) allowed them to do so. Joe is pumped up about living in Tucson. He says,"I got to Tucson as quick as I could".
Joe came to Long Realty from a career as Chief Engineer - new products, with a Fortune 100 company. He is the holder of eight design patents with this Ohio based truck equipment manufacturer. Prior to that he was the Engineering Manager for another truck equipment manufacturer in Iowa. In fact, Joe is a farm-grown,"Iowa Boy", getting his Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa. GO HAWKEYES!!
After Graduate work at the University of Northern Iowa, and a brief stint in the U.S. Army, Joe completed aircraft flight training in Oakland, California, to secure his first job as a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor.
Joe met his wife, Judy, while both were Ski Patrollers on the National Ski Patrol. Since then, they have retired from patrolling, but are still inflicted with the"snow skiing virus", and ski as often as they can. Judy is a Registered Nurse at a Tucson hospital, and enjoys"house touring"with Joe to give her perspective of various residences.
The Smith's have been sold on the Tucson climate for many years, and were glad to say goodbye to their snow blower and lawn mower, along with their Ohio residence. Joe says another often overlooked plus about Tucson is that there are no bugs to drive you inside in the evenings. After scouting countless places to live, Joe gives Tucson and Long Realty two"thumbs up".
